1. The service

Acta lets private groups (“squads”) set friendly stakes on their habits. Stakes are words, not payments: the app never transfers money between users, holds funds, or enforces a stake. Settling a stake is entirely between you and your friends, in real life. Acta is operated by West-East Forte.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Acta. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account in the app.

3. How completion is verified

When you submit proof of a check-in, the other members of your squad confirm or dispute it by peer vote; a simple majority of the other members decides. There is no automated or AI review of your submissions.

4. Premium

Premium is an optional auto-renewing monthly subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The current price is shown in the app before you confirm the purchase. Premium unlocks unlimited squads and unlimited active stakes; the free tier allows one owned squad, one joined squad, and one active stake. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your store's subscription settings; refunds follow the store's policies, not ours.

5. Community guidelines

Squads are private, but they are shared spaces. By using Acta you agree not to post:

• harassment, hate speech, or threats;
• sexually explicit or violent content;
• illegal content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
• spam or deceptive content;
• other people's personal information without their consent.

Every chat message and proof photo can be reported (long-press a message, or tap the ⋯ menu on a proof), and any member can be blocked, which hides their content from you immediately. We review reports within 24 hours and remove violating content and, where warranted, the accounts that posted it.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for anything that happens between squad members over a stake.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
