Delete your account & data
Applies to the Acta app by West-East Forte (package com.wef.acta).
Option 1 - In the app (immediate)
- Open Acta and go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account and data are erased immediately. No further action is needed.
Option 2 - By email (if you cannot sign in)
Email west.eastforte@gmail.com from the email address you registered with, and we will delete the account within 7 days. Never send us your password - we will never ask for it.
What gets deleted
- Account (email, credentials) - deleted
- Squads you own, including their stakes, chats, and member list - deleted
- Your check-ins, votes, and proof photos - deleted
- Your chat messages in squads you don't own - the message content is kept so the conversation still makes sense to the remaining members, but the author is anonymized
- Reports you filed and users you blocked - deleted
What is not deleted automatically
- Active subscriptions. Deleting your Acta account does not cancel an auto-renewing subscription. Cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no recovery window and no backup from which we can restore your squads or history.
Retention
We retain your data only while your account exists. Once deleted, the data described above is removed from our production database and file storage right away. Copies may persist for a short time in our hosting provider's routine encrypted backups before those backups are overwritten.
